Vermont Cure Cup Tournament

July 20-21 Jay Peak, Vermont

Last year was a blast and this year will be even better! A weekend in Jay Peak Vermont for friends, fun and field hockey. This mixed tournament is great for spirited hockey with a friendly competitive flavour.  

Travel down on Friday  and return on Sunday evening.  We had 2 teams last year so room for lots of players. We stayed in ski condos and had a Saturday night fajitas dinner! Friday golf for anyone interested

Club Six & Mix Festival

Join us for our 6 & Mix festival! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 11, as we kick off the season in style from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This festival is all about the perfect blend of fun and competition, where teams are formed from a mix of juniors, seniors, and seasoned vets. 

Whether you're flying solo or rallying your own team, everyone's welcome to join in on the action.

Expect an afternoon filled with fun games and friendly rivalry, as we celebrate our club and the sport we love. And what's a great game without a tasty reward? Stick around till the end for some well-deserved pizza!

Higher Intensity Training

Sundays Apr 28- Jul 28  8:00-9:30pm

Are you ready to take your field hockey game to the next level? Introducing our Higher Intensity Field Hockey Program, designed for dedicated players who are returning from university, gearing up for collegiate play, eyeing provincial or high-performance teams, or simply seeking higher intensity faster paced training.

Join us every Sunday evening from 8:00pm to 9:30pm, starting April 28th and running until July 28th. Led by seasoned Outaouais coaches and players, our program offers a dynamic, high-paced training environment tailored to push your limits and elevate your skills.

With a focus on intensity and individualized attention, our small group sessions (limited to just 15 participants) ensure focused coaching and ample opportunity for personalized skill development. Coaches will organize small group sessions targeting specific areas of improvement, guaranteeing a comprehensive training experience.

Expect rigorous drills, high-speed exercises, and plenty of 1 v 1 matchups to challenge your abilities and sharpen your technique. Don't miss your chance to train with a higher intensity group and prepare to really up level your skills! 

Thursday Mixed Pick-Up Field Hockey

Join us under the Thursday night lights for Adult Mixed Pick-up Field Hockey, where camaraderie and fun reign supreme! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just stepping onto the field for the first time, this co-ed recreational pick-up welcomes players of all skill levels and backgrounds.

Running from April 25 through September 12, from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm, get ready for an exhilarating blend of skill and spirit. Experienced juniors (16+) looking to join should reach out to the club beforehand. while beginners and returning players are warmly encouraged to jump right in.

The emphasis is on building connections and enjoying every moment on the field. Our format adapts to the number of participants, offering a mix of organized teams and pickup games, ensuring every player gets their chance to shine.

But wait, there's more! As an added bonus, gain access to the open club training slot at the turf before pickup, every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the action-packed fun - sign up now and let's hit the turf together.

Wednesday Mixed League

Wednesdays May - Aug   8:00-10:00 pm

Get ready for field hockey midweek excitement with the Wednesday Mixed League, happening from May to August, 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm! In partnership with Gloucester Field Hockey Club, we're thrilled to introduce a thrilling Mixed 6-a-side league that promises non-stop action and camaraderie.

Teams will be skillfully crafted from the pool of players for a series of 4-5 week seasons, ensuring dynamic matchups and competitive play. With all games officiated and most teams hitting the field for at least 2 games each evening, you're in for some very good field hockey games.

Expect a fast-paced level of play tailored to both seasoned veterans and developing talents, as we strive to create an inclusive environment for all participants. If you're ready to dive headfirst into the excitement, don't miss out! Simply fill in our expression of interest form and secure your spot in the Wednesday Mixed League today. Junior Girls League and Training

The club is offering training and a Spring league for junior girls.  Training and the league teams are run by experienced adult coaches with high school and club coaching experience and training. All players must purchase a club membership as well.

The Spring Junior League is for high school age girls (14 - 19).

 Games on Wednesday nights between 6:00pm and 8:00pm that ran from May to June 26.  

The July league will be July 3 - 24.

Participants have the option of

1. playing in the league and participating in Club Junior training sessions on Sundays from 6-8pm beginning April  and running until the end of July.

2. just playing in the league  (we have the turf 5:30-8pm. Games are at 6:00pm & 7:00pm)

All players will be able to participate in pre-season/learn to play training on Wednesdays and Sundays during April.  

Training started Wednesday April 3!

Teams will play at least 1 game a week. 

Players select a "Group/Team when they register. Individuals can also sign up as Free Agents and will be placed on a team.

There are currently 4 teams to choose from, Riptide, Frantic, Stingers and Free Agents.

Binghamton Field Hockey Weekend May 4-5

Outaouais has been invited again to travel to Binghamton, New York May 4-5 for a weekend of M field hockey with the local CNY club.  The weekend is the same format as last year with friendly 11 aside games on Saturday afternoonand an 7 aside tournament on Sunday morning.  This was a great weekend last year and CNY were great hosts and happy to have us.

Cost is $145 which include tournament registration and Saturday hotel

We will plan to enter 2 teams in the Sunday tournament.

Players will need to travel to arrive at the field hockey venue for 12:00pm on Saturday.  We will pool rides.  

We have hotel reservations in Binghamton for Saturday night at Candlewood Suites Vestal -Binghamton.

U14 Girls Field Hockey

Come and give field hockey a try! Combining the large field play of soccer with the speed and stick-ball hand eye coordination of ice hockey and ringette. This is a 8 week program with training and mini-games twice a week. A great start for girls looking for a new sport or thinking about playing for a high school team in the future

Girls field hockey session for players going into grade 7-8.  All levels of experience; beginners welcome!   

Training Sunday and Wednesday nights 6:00pm and 7:30pm running from Apr 28 to June 23.  

Every player will receive an Outaouais reversible jersey and field hockey socks.

Fee: $160 + $30 Club membership

Sticks, stickbags and balls will be loaned from the club 

Players should bring mouthguard and shinpads

Mixed Thursday Pick-up

Emphasis is on camaraderie and fun in the spirit of “hockey for life”.

Mix of ages (16 & up) and skill levels. Beginners and those returning to the game are welcome and supported!

Also includes access to the open club training slot at the turf before pickup on Thursdays 7-8pm. 

Every player must have a reversible red/white jersey– can be purchased at registration. 

Final format of play will be determined by number of players registering. To provide input on your preferred format complete this survey

All players must pay the $30 Outaouais Membership Fee (paid once during the Sept - August season)

This survey is to get input from club members about the formats for different nights that they would participate in.  The club would like to have some sort of Adult league along with a regular pickup session as well.  It is important to select all that would apply so that we can get a gauge of preferences and numbers for different possible formats.
